This is an event organised by the Restorative Justice Council, not by Prison Fellowship, but it may be of interest to our volunteers, particularly those active in the Sycamore Tree programme.    The RJC is running a series of regional workshops for police and crime commissioners and relevant agencies to support the commissioning of safe and effective restorative justice services. The workshops are an opportunity to hear about the latest guidance and legislation relating to restorative justice, to share good practice across PCC areas and to establish knowledge sharing networks to further the delivery of high quality restorative justice. The Chris Donovan Trust Benefit Evening

Ride London 100 - 2018

RideLondon100   If cycling is your thing, we have a great opportunity for you on Sunday 29th July – the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100. We have six charity places remaining for this iconic event. The 100-mile bike ride on closed roads through London and Surrey starts at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford, following the course of the 2012 Olympic road race, before ending on The Mall in Central London. Sycamore Tree Group Facilitator Training - LYMM

Sunday, 9th September - 9:30 am - 4:00 pm

Lymm Baptist Church, Lymm

Sycamore Tree is a victim awareness course that teaches the principles of restorative justice. It is taught in prisons in groups of up to 20 learners by PF volunteers. Prisoners on the course explore the effects of crime on victims, offenders, and the community, and discuss what it would mean to take responsibility for their personal actions. This training day focuses on the role of a group facilitator. The Group Facilitator training will cover;

  • Introduction to the Vision and Values of PF
  • The Role & Responsibilities of a Group Facilitator
  • The Story of Zac – Restorative Justice
  • Basic induction training
We have 30 places available, so do book your place via Eventbrite as soon as possible. If all the places have been filled, please email communications@prisonfellowship.org.uk to be added to the waiting list so we can let you know of any cancellations or future trainings. The training will start at 10am promptly; you are invited to arrive from 9:30 for registration and refreshments! Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
