Derbyshire Prison Challenge

Volunteers are being recruited from across Derbyshire by Prison Fellowship England and Wales to work with prisons across the county.

A special Road Show at Riverside Centre, Pride Park, Derby, on Tuesday 15 June between 5pm-9pm will introduce potential volunteers to what they can do to help.

Prison Fellowship has been helping people explore their volunteer ministries in prisons throughout England & Wales for over 30 years. They are now looking for volunteers from local churches in Derbyshire.

Peter Bannister, Senior Regional Coordinator, said today: “Volunteers are vital to the work of Prison Fellowship. Our aim is to restore all those affected by crime through prayer; value-based programmes and practical action.”

He added: “There are great needs within local prisons and we would like you to help and to be part of seeing “lives transformed.”

Prison Fellowship England and Wales works with inmates and prison staff right across the country and seeks to change lives through its work.
